This is our house. It was built before I got here and contains several green building techniques. We have a rainwater system, stained concrete floors, good solar exposure, a salt water pool, and porches that shade our windows in the hot summers.

My house was designed by Barley and Pfeiffer of Austin and built by English Partners.

Our house was featured on an episode of HGTV's Landscapers Challenge in 2005. We needed a native landscape, so this was a great way to get that done. In this picture, you can see Kelly, the producer putting makeup on Skip. It was filmed in April (before) and July (after) 2004 and was so hot.
